   Ok, I know this is going to sound terribly mean-spirited, but we’ve got to set something straight here. It is clearly not mandatory for a U.S. president to be a Christian, but for the sake of those millions of Americans believing Mitt Romney to be a Christian and a conservative, and intending to vote for him on such credentials, let’s think this through:

   1. Mormons are not Christians
   2. Mitt Romney is not a Christian, but a Mormon
   3. Mitt Romney is not a conservative
   4. Mitt Romney doesn’t know if he’s pro-life, pro-choice, anti stem-cell research, pro stem-cell research, anti or pro surge. He is, in fact, extremely like Hillary, whatever he needs to appear to be to win!
   5. Mitt Romney is a non-Christian, non-conservative, waffle!

   Yes, I know Mormons profess belief in Jesus, making them appear to be Christians. But Christianity is more than simple mental assent to a set of propositions. Christianity is full allegiance to the person of Christ, an impossible allegiance for one who does not know Christ or believe his teachings. Mormons do not and cannot know Christ and reject every major doctrine of historical Christianity, (the deity of Christ, the bodily resurrection of the dead, salvation by faith through grace, etc.) because they refuse to submit to the teaching of the Bible wherever it contradicts the teachings of their “prophets” and elders. Their “holy books” include “The Pearl of Great Price”, Doctrines and Covenants”, and the “Book of Mormon”. The Bible holds no special authority and is only used in so far as it doesn’t contradict the “Church’s” other “holy books” and teachings. This necessarily destroys the Mormon’s understanding of Christ, his sacrificial atonement, and the basis of a Christian’s allegiance.

   Claiming allegiance to a Person one does not know and cannot understand, because the only authoritative teaching in existence, the Bible, concerning that Person is thoroughly compromised, cannot constitute genuine Christianity! In order to be a disciple, or “Latter-Day Saint”, it is imperative to understand the Person one is supposedly following, but the Mormon’s real allegiance is to his/her “Church” and its “prophets”, not to the biblical Christ!

   Mormons purport to be Christians claiming belief in Christ, but they reject virtually every major historical Christian doctrine. They add three extra “holy books” to their canon of accepted Scripture, which totally destroy any attempt at genuine Christian theology, and are universally rejected by the totality of the real Christian Church. The multitudinous denominations within the Christian Church, while varying sharply sometimes on doctrinal points, rarely refer to one-another as cults, because they universally hold in common belief in the traditional, historical, doctrines of Christianity and acknowledgement that the canonical Bible handed down through the centuries is fully and singularly authoritative. Presbyterian Pastor, Dr. James Kennedy, has estimated that all Christian denominations, in spite of their differences, hold over 90% of their foundational doctrinal beliefs in common. These would include the bodily resurrection of the dead, the virgin birth, the doctrine of the trinity, the deity of Christ, salvation by faith through grace, etc. Mormons depart on not one, but ALL, of these doctrines, including rejection of biblical authority! That kind of departure does not represent a Christian sect but a full-blown cult!

   It is as logically incomprehensible for a Mormon to be a Christian as for a Muslim to be a Jew! As a Mormon accepts but diminishes the Bible in relation to his other “holy books” (their four holy books are referred to by Mormons as the “pillars of faith”), the Muslim does with the Koran in relation to the Old Testament Law, or Torah. Muslims believe in Moses, Abraham, Isaac, the OT prophets, and the OT Scriptures, and consider it all part of their heritage, but they aren’t Jewish, because they have been persuaded to believe that the Koran supplants and corrects the Bible, Muhammad overshadows the Jewish prophets, and Ishmael was Abraham’s son of promise, rather than Isaac.

   Muslims can’t claim to be Jews when accepting a new and supposedly superior prophet, revelation, and “holy book” that change the whole basis of the Jewish faith and could never be accepted by Jews as a mere Jewish sect simply on the basis of their common heritage. Likewise, for precisely the same reasons, Mormons can’t claim to be Christians. You can’t change the whole foundation of someone else’s faith and claim that it’s the same religion! Once a religion has been fundamentally, foundationally, altered by an invading ideology it is no longer the same religion. If the original religion willfully evolves to embrace the new beliefs it can exist in its new form, but if the original Faith rejects the invasion, as in the case of Mormonism, the invading company must recognize itself as a new and separate Faith. Mormonism is not Christianity!

   Mormonism is nothing but a renewal of fourth century a.d. Gnosticism, heresies known to and rejected by the early Church, and one of the many false religions and bastions of false prophets Jesus prophesied would plague the world in the end times. It is a deceitful and devious cult that hides its deepest teachings even from its members until they have risen well up into the ranks, and it is not possible to learn the truth about Mormonism from their website or other Mormon-based information sources for these reasons. The only reason we know what Mormons really teach and believe in the upper echelons is because there are tens of thousands of ex-Mormons in the U.S. who have recognized the cultic nature of the “Church”, left it for genuine Christianity, and related their stories, all of which corroborate the “Latter-Day Saints” true nature.    Mitt Romney is a non-Christian, non-conservative waffle! If you are in search of a genuine Christian conservative candidate for president there is only one available, and he is Mike Huckabee. Mike Huckabee can win the nomination and can win the presidency if all conservatives who are deceived into believing they are voting for a Christian and conservative in Mitt Romney will switch their attention to the only genuine Christian conservative candidate. Pray about it, and vote wisely!
