Barack Obama Votes Down His Own Economic Policy
Sen. Wayne Allard (R-CL) says that he put Sen. Barack Obama’s economic policy proposals into a budget amendment, which was voted down by everyone, including Obama. Which is funnier, that Barack Obama voted against this plan (that was supposedly his own), that he didn’t realize that it was his plan that he was voting against or both? Surely, he wouldn’t vote against his own plan knowingly.
Republican Sen. Wayne Allard cobbled together what he said were all 111 of Barack Obama’s economic proposals into an amendment to the budget Thursday.
A vote for the Allard amendment would have been a vote for Obama’s economic proposals, which Allard was trying to point out, in the most basic way, are too costly.
The vote was 99-0, with Obama voting against the amendment. Republican presidential candidate and Arizona Sen. John McCain was not present to cast what would presumably have been a “no” vote.
