Saddlebrook’s Obama-McCain Civil Forum

On Saturday night Political Kudzu will be covering the Barack Obama/John McCain Leadership Civil Forum that take place at Rick Warren’s Saddleback church in Lake Forest, California.

The forum will allow Pastor Warren to go one-on-one with each candidate without any interuption from each other. Barack won the coin toss and will be going first. McCain will follow in the second hour with Warren.

Undecided voter Kristie Holmes, a social worker, will be live blogging for us and giving her laywoman thoughts, opinion, and analysis on both Barack Obama and John McCain live from the media room at Saddleback during the event.

Obama was thoughtful and answered all the Reverends questions openly and honestly. Mccain sounded like a canned ham- especially after learning that he wasn’t in a “cone of silence” but had at least 1/2 hour to listen to question and answers from Obama before he even arrived at Saddlebrook. That’s cheating and his denial that he didn’t hear anything is yet another lie. McCain’s campaign and total flip flops on just about every issue and his negative attack ads belittle his credibility about being “a straight talker” and his promise to run a campaign just about the issues. Seems like the same Republican slime machine in action again. No surprise there.
I was 1 of 14 Americans to be on the Presidential ballot in the 2000 election and don’t believe in Demopublicans or Republicrats. I ran on the Grassroots Party ticket. My views are available on a panoply of issues at links you will find if you just Google my name. My positions and solutions for a variety of topics and issues is just as valid and needed when i first answered questionnaires in 2000. I was a candidate for Governor against Howard Dean twice and i guess i was prescient as after our last debate in 96 I sarcastically wished him well on his Presidential aspirations in the year 2004, as I could tell he was yet another arrogant , career politician w big ambitions and well you know what happened with him!
Wish i had the money it takes to run a real campaign as my ideas and solutions from 2000 are just as valid for 2008

I watched the entire saddleback forum between McCain & Obama..It was quite
clear who has earned the right to lead this great nation. You would have to be
a sleep to not have felt the passion & conviction & confidence that John McCain
shared with the American public vs Obama’s carefully measured words for
every response that appeared too calculating and frankly concerning me as
a voter if he were able to become president of the USA. In my humble opinion
John McCain was way more Presidential & did not have to hesitate with any of
these questions. He simply had no trouble expressing his views morally, socially, domestically and especially internationally. I hope this forum opened up America’s eyes just how ready John McCain a true patriot and American hero is ready to lead this great country & how ill prepared Obama truely is !
    Sincerely
