Bill Richardson Pulls Out as Commerce Secretary
New Mexico governor Bill Richardson has withdrawn his name as Barack Obama’s Secretary of Commerce to be in the wake of a federal grand jury investigation.
A federal grand jury is investigating how a California company that contributed to Richardson’s political activities won a New Mexico state contract worth more than $1 billion. Richardson said in a statement issued by the Obama transition office that the investigation could take weeks or months but expressed confidence it will show he and his administration acted properly.
First Blago and now Richardson under grand jury investigation. It is starting to remind me of the Clinton years already! Actually don’t be surprised if the Clinton’s are behind the investigation in retaliation for Richardson supporting Obama over Hillary Clinton during the primaries.
