Bill Richardson Pulls Out as Commerce Secretary

New Mexico governor Bill Richardson has withdrawn his name as Barack Obama’s Secretary of Commerce to be in the wake of a federal grand jury investigation.

A federal grand jury is investigating how a California company that contributed to Richardson’s political activities won a New Mexico state contract worth more than $1 billion. Richardson said in a statement issued by the Obama transition office that the investigation could take weeks or months but expressed confidence it will show he and his administration acted properly.

First Blago and now Richardson under grand jury investigation. It is starting to remind me of the Clinton years already!  Actually don’t be surprised if the Clinton’s are behind the investigation in retaliation for Richardson supporting Obama over Hillary Clinton during the primaries.

Bill Richardson and the Clintons

Who isn’t getting sick of Bill Richardson saying he did nothing wrong by endorsing Obama. By Richardson reiterating this so much and so frequently and responding to people provoking him (Bill Clinton, James Carville, and etc.) , it obviously means that he feels that in some way that he did. His conscious is apparently plaguing him.

Proof from CNN:

New Mexico Gov. Bill Richardson on Wednesday sharply disputed Bill Clinton’s reported claim that Richardson promised to endorse Hillary Clinton’s bid for the White House.

“I never did,” Richardson said. “I never saw [President Clinton] five times. I saw him when he watched the Super Bowl with me. We made it very clear to him that he shouldn’t expect an endorsement after that meeting.”

Bill Clinton’s comments reportedly came during a recent meeting with some California superdelegates. The San Francisco Chronicle reported the former president got “red faced” when the subject of Richardson came up and said, “Five times to my face (Richardson) said that he would never do that.”

In the interview Wednesday, Richardson acknowledged he was “very close to endorsing” Clinton, but decided not to after the campaign got “nasty.”

“I held back. I waited. I felt the campaign got nasty. I heard Senator Obama; he would talk to me continuously,” Richardson said.

“The Clintons should get over this,” he added.

Bill Richardson Finally Endorses Barack Obama

Bill Richardson

Gov. Bill Richardson of New Mexico is going to finally endorse Sen. Barack Obama. We here at Political Kudzu, said Richardson was going to endorse Obama after the Texas and Ohio Primaries, but then Obama lost the primaries of Texas and Ohio apparently that caused a wait. Maybe the ruckus that has been caused by Reverend Jeremiah Wright and Obama himself, prompted the endorsement. Bill Richardson is set to endorse Obama Friday around 12:30 PM. Richardson said that Obama was a once in a lifetime leader, guess that is suppose to urge people to vote for them because they will not get another chance to vote for a leader like him again, ever again in their life time.

Governor Bill Richardson Soon To Endorse Obama

Bill Richardson

Gov. Bill Richardson (NM) has been saying that whomever is behind in the delegate count on Wednesday should drop out of the race. Of course, Hillary Clinton (even if she wins big and is only behind a few delegates) is going to be behind. Now, it is being told that he is going to be endorsing Sen. Barack Obama. Chances are it will be Wednesday or Thursday morning when he does this, because Hillary will not drop out if she wins either Ohio or Texas, and she will probably at least one of those. So he will do it to rub salt in Hillary’s eye. Richardson does also have Vice-Presidential aspirations, and endorsements aren’t always free.

Democratic Presidental Candidate Bill Richardson Drops Out of Race?

Bill Richardson

The story hitting the news now is that Democratic Candidate Gov. Bill Richardson is out of the Presidential race, said to be dropping out officially Thursday morning. Apparently, no one is sure. Though, it would not be a big surprise if he did, considering poor performances in both the New Hampshire Primary and Iowa Caucus. I am linking this article which is from the Sante Fe New Mexican, a paper from his home state. The gist of the article is that he told two anonyomous confidants that he was dropping out of the Presidential Race after his loss in the both Iowa and New Hampshire. His campaign workers say that this is not true, that they have not heard any talk of such. So we will see what happens.
