Mike Gravel- Democrat No More

Mike Gravel

Mike Gravel, who is currently a Presidential Candidate on the Democratic side of the Presidential Race, who almost no one knows, or doesn’t pay much attention, has decided to switch to the Libertarian party.  Mike Gravel, who would represent a true change in politics (along with few others candidates, and none of the front runners), not that is not to say that it would be a good change, but a change none the less.  Gravel cites the corporate world and the current state of the democratic party as reasons for him switching parties.  Mike Gravel plans on continuing his bid for the presidency with the Libertarian Party.  While the Libertarian party is not a viable party now, it would be nice for a third party to rise up and challenge the democrats and republicans, and give America more options.

MSNBC First Read Reports:

As NBC/NJ’s Carrie Dann writes, One-time Democratic candidate Mike Gravel is leaving the Democratic Party, accusing it of “work[ing] in tandem with the corporate interests that control what we read and hear in the media.” Greener pastures await, he says, with his joining today of the Libertarian Party, where he hopes to continue his presidential bid.
