NH Recount Money Raising On Behalf Of Ron Paul, Will It Help Kucinich?
Grannywarrior is having a Chip-in (fund raiser) to raise money for a recount of votes in New Hampshire on behalf of Republican Ron Paul. This group feels that there is potential that fraud went on in the New Hampshire Presidential Primary. A lot of the speculation (or problem if you will) is fairly well-documented on the internet that the Diebold Electronic Scanning systems that were used to count the majority of the votes in New Hampshire, are easily hackable. Democrat Dennis Kucinich asked for a recount and was granted one provide he (or his campaign) pay for it. If this group raises this money on behalf of Paul, will it benefit Kucinich? This probably will not be the last we hear of this issue, let’s hope for no vote fraud.

The much hyped New Hampshire Primaries are over and despite what CNN says I don’t find Republican Sen. John McCain and Democratic Sen. Hillary Clinton big surprise winners. I wasn’t surprised at all about John McCain, as he won in NH before and he was leading in the preliminary polls. I was a little surprised about Hillary Clinton, as she supposed had a breakdown (though she did not and it may have helped her showing emotion), many of the preliminary polls said she was losing by 10+ to Barack Obama, and the press accosted her chances of winning, which does have an affect on the public, though it can backfire and may have in this incident. I suppose this does answer the question that was asked before if Hillary was going to drop out of the race, I am pretty sure that she is not exiting the race now. I was hoping some of the real underdogs ( Ron Paul, Dennis Kucinich, Duncan Hunter, Mike Gravel, and John Cox) would make a better showing, but they didn’t. Here are the Results.
Republican Primary:
1. John McCain- 37% - Winner
2. Mitt Romney- 32%
3. Mike Huckabee- 11%
4. Rudy Giuliani- 9%
5. Ron Paul - 8%
6. Fred Thompson- 1%
7. Duncan Hunter- 1%
8. John Cox- 1%
Democratic Primary:
1. Hillary Clinton- 39% - Winner
2. Barack Obama- 36%
3. John Edwards- 17%
4. Bill Richardson- 5%
5. Dennis Kucinich- 1%
6. Mike Gravel- 0%
This is not a complete list as there are many candidates on the ballots, and also many write-ins.

There has been a huge turnout thus far in the New Hampshire Primary. This I know to be true, it has been all over the news. Now what I don’t know to be true is exit polling results. I will state the 2 most occuring themes of this topic:
1. According to some websites, exit polling shows that Dem. Presidential candidate Barack Obama and Republican Presidential candidate Sen. John McCain are leading their parties perspectively. The big showing in this was that Obama and McCain are basically splitting the independent vote, with Obama maybe taking a little more of the vote than McCain amongst independent voters.
2. According to some other websites, there really hasn’t been any leaking of poll results at least as of right now.
Either way it is going to be exciting to watch it unfold, if you are the type that gets excited by politics, that is.

At 12 am tonight/Tuesday morning the first ballot will be cast in Dixville Notch, New Hampshire, for the New Hampshire primary. The stakes are high for both the Democrat and Republican parties. Many candidates have a lot riding on this primary though, not necessarily important in the sense of the actual number of people that the state represents compared to the rest of the country. How it is important is momentum. Don’t forget the fact that people are paying attention to who is a viable candidate to cast their vote. Also, people will follow trends, whatever the reasons they will do it. Lets say person x wins the NH primary, someone voting in the GA primary might think to themselves, well person x won in NH so I should vote for them.

Republican representative Duncan Hunter (California) held a press conference at Manchester, New Hampshire at 2 p.m. today. Many expected him to drop out of the Presidential Race, he did not do that. What Rep. Hunter did say , rightfully so might I add, is that he was staying in the race regardless of how the media is trying to shut him out of the race (which they are along with Republican Ron Paul and Democrat Dennis Kucinich) by not allowing him to take part in the debates. However, about two minutes or less into his tyraid against the media( targeting Fox and ABC), CNN cut their cameras back to the news desk. They did just help him make his point , didn’t they?

Former Governor Mitt Romney (Massachusetts) held a Town Hall meeting today in Bedford, NH. He was asked inaudible question, that he answered fervently. He did say that he is for Health care being cheaper by virtue of everyone paying for it. He said that he was against raising taxes to the middle class. He thanked his kids and in-laws for helping. He talked about how he was from the private sector, and greatly debated with his family about running for office. Then he did what would sway the world, he told of how he was like Ronald Reagan.
